How we're building our team
Our people
We’re determined to recruit, develop and retain great people because it’s the right thing to do and it helps us deliver the best possible service to our customers. Technical skills matter in our line of work, but we also look for a positive attitude and people who share our values of professionalism, customer first, and mutual respect.

Recruitment and training
Our bespoke induction programme gives new team members a clear development plan from day one. You’ll learn about our company, customers and standards, supported by regular 1:1 meetings with your line manager. We also offer leadership and management training, with guidance from our experienced non-exec team.

Careers
At Firetech, we offer careers, not just jobs, both in the office and on site. We’re proud that many of our team have been with us long-term. We provide the technical support people need and we promote from within, helping our team build their future here.

Communications
We’re improving our communication too. We share regular updates on our strategy and where the business is heading, and we’re rolling this out across our site teams as well. That way, everyone understands how their role contributes and what opportunities there are to progress.

Our values and benefits
We care about our people with flexible working policies, competitive salaries and benefits. Our annual leave entitlement is 33 days, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days. We respect everyone’s right to be themselves at Firetech, believing diversity and inclusivity make us a stronger team and better individuals.
