The role
Firetech UK Ltd is looking for a Contracts Manager to strengthen our Construction delivery team, with a particular focus on passive fire protection works including fire stopping and compartmentation, alongside wider PFP activities.
You’ll support the Head of Operations to deliver safe, compliant and profitable projects, with a hands-on approach to planning, coordination and client communication.
We’re open-minded on the level of the appointment – we’ll consider experienced Contracts Managers and strong Project/Assistant Contracts Managers ready for the next step.

Manage and coordinate multiple passive fire protection projects from mobilisation through to handover (fire stopping, compartmentation, fire barriers and associated remedial works).
-
Plan programmes, labour and resources, working closely with site supervisors and operatives.
-
Ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard, with robust QA and Golden Thread records (product traceability, photos, installation records, inspection records).
-
Lead day-to-day client communication on allocated projects, tracking actions, reporting progress and resolving issues.
-
Support commercial delivery by maintaining progress records, assisting with valuations, and identifying variations with supporting evidence.
-
Coordinate project documentation and close-out, including QA packs, certification, as-builts and O&M information where required.
-
Carry out site visits and inspections to maintain standards, productivity and programme performance across live projects.
-
Work collaboratively with Firetech’s operational teams, estimators and commercial team to support tender planning and smooth project handover.

Skills and experience
-
Proven experience managing passive fire protection / fire stopping / compartmentation works (installation, remediation, refurbishment or maintenance).
-
Strong understanding of quality and compliance requirements, including traceability and record keeping.
-
Confident managing programmes, labour and subcontractors/operatives across multiple live projects.
-
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
-
Organised, proactive and able to problem-solve at pace.
-
Competent with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and comfortable working with digital QA/project systems.
-
Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications (preferred)
-
SMSTS or SSSTS
-
NVQ Level 5 or 6 (Construction / Site / Contracts / Ops Management)
-
Passive fire protection scheme awareness/experience is desirable (e.g., FIRAS / IFC / ASFP), but not essential if you have strong delivery experience and a quality-first approach.

Benefits
-
Competitive salary (dependent on experience) + bonus
-
33 days holiday plus option to buy or sell 5 days
-
Company vehicle or allowance
-
Opportunity for progression within an ambitious, growing business
-
Early finish on Fridays
-
Supportive team environment and long-term career developmen
